We are proud sponsors of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 50th Anniversary Photo Competition (phew!). Having sponsored North Devon's competition last year, their Southern counterparts asked us to take part.

The website is available at www.sdaonb-comp.org.uk.

2010 is the year South Devon celebrates 50 years as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Designated by government in 1960 it is recognised as one of England's finest landscapes.

The overall winner will also receive a hot air balloon ride over South Devon AONB courtesy of Virgin balloons.

The prize winners will also be exhibited as part of a 50th anniversary exhibition at Harbour house Kingsbridge from 6th July - 18th July 2010.

It's been a fantastic project to work on and we look forward to seeing the entries.

New studio

We've just moved into our new office, located in Southfields, near Wimbledon. Our fantastic studio has just been renovated and gives us room for expansion as we employ more people.

The first-floor studio is situated above The Old Sweetshop, an art gallery promoting contemporary local work such as Joe Madeira's Light Lines.

My Last Song expands

My Last Song, one of our oldest clients, is expanding - with our help. This week marks an era as My Last Song interviews for a permanent web developer to take the website forward.

We have been narrowing down the candidates and interviewing the good ones. The interview process continues with final-stage interviews being held in a week.

Two new websites are now live

Singles Holiday Club, on which we have been working for the last few weeks, is now online. Featuring a design from Groundnation, we drastically improved the backend functionality allowing the Club to easily update their site.

Joe Madeira's site also went live this week. Featuring work from his exhibition 'Light lines' at The Old Sweetshop (Southfields, London), Joe's site is well-designed with simplicity in mind.

NDBR Website Launched

After working on the site for about a month and going through our rigorous testing regime, the North Devon Biosphere Reserve's website has been launched. The website includes user forums, recent news articles, resources, an event calendar and an interactive map on which visitors plot themselves, pledging their support for the Reserve.

New Better Brief website

Today marks the release of the new Better Brief website. The old website lacked content and was not very well written. It didn't really describe us as people, and didn't sell ourselves in the way we'd have liked.

In comparison, the new website displays our strengths and gives insight into what makes us unique. It's a big improvement and makes use of the Silverstripe CMS. It is also XHTML 1.0 Strict compliant.

My Last Song launches Alpha

My Last Song, which we have worked extensively on for the last year, has today launched as Alpha. Encompassing functionality such a Lifebox to keep your belongings, a system to alert loved ones of your death, and a lot of articles on how to plan your funeral. The Alpha can be viewed from alpha.mylastsong.com.

Commissioned for Lambeth council's new database

We have recently been commissioned to build a new database for Lambeth council. This is an internal project which will not be open to the public. However, at some point, it may be expanded to become a community hub. Even though it is internal, it is still worth mentioning as it is a large step for us to gain public-sector work.
